Nike kicks off 2023 with the 'Blast Pack,' which features the Phantom GX alongside the Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV and Superfly IX for the first time ever.
Following a great World Cup campaign, Nike returns our attention to the pitch with the 'Blast Pack,' focusing all sights on the newest Phantom GX boots.
The Phantom GX is the focal point, and these dazzling boots deserve it. These boots, which feature Nike Gripknit technology, provide greater ball contact to improve performance. This technology marks a significant leap for the brand, and it will forever change football footwear. The first two laces are covered in Gripknit material, which provides a large surface area for optimal ball control and the ideal stick. Asymmetry in the collar and heel provides comfort, whilst soft characteristics in the heel make it easier for players to break in their new shoes. Tri-star studs function in conjunction with forefoot grooves to aid in direction shift. In addition to the Nike technology, the boots' more modest blackout lining replicates on-field movements, driving players forwards in a zigzag pattern before striking the ball.
The Air Zoom Mercurial is available in both Vapor XV and Superfly IX colorways, with a clear relationship between these boots and the Phantom GX design. Nike's first soccer-specific 3/4 Zoom Air unit, which lies in the plate and delivers additional spring to the underfoot, makes its debut in this boot. This extra spring allows you to move faster on and off the ball, allowing players to score more show-stopping goals and jump higher to win those 50/50 headers.
