Nike Grind is a sustainable material created by Nike as part of its commitment to reducing waste and promoting environmental responsibility. Nike Grind is made by recycling and repurposing various materials, including manufacturing scraps and end-of-life athletic shoes, into new athletic surfaces, products, and materials.
The process of creating Nike Grind involves collecting and separating materials like rubber, foam, and fabric from old shoes and other sources. These materials are then processed and transformed into granules, fibers, and powders that can be used to make a wide range of products, such as sports surfaces (like running tracks and playgrounds), new shoes, apparel, and more.
The use of Nike Grind here is a welcome addition for environmentally conscious fans. A closer look at the jersey sees the motto ‘Play Green’ on the inside collar to further highlight the club’s commitment to the environment.
One of our favourite features is the club crest and Nike Swoosh logos which both feature a distinctive speckled finish crafted from Nike Grind.
