Nike Launch The Mercurial Superfly Mbappé Rosa

When Kylian Mbappé posted the all new Mercurial Superfly Mbappé Rosa on his Instagram before PSG's mouthwatering match up with Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, social media went into a frenzy with boot lovers wanting to get their hands on the unmissable release.
While it wasn't the final Mbappé and PSG had hope for, the clash showed just how far his hometown club have come. Going seriously close (something that hasn't been said before) this time to lifting the trophy the club have lusted over for decades. The trophy a young Mbappé would have been dreaming of winning growing up in Bondy, at a time where he had other simpler dreams as well, like owning the hottest boots in the world at the time - the 2008 Nike Mercurial Vapor Rosa.
The latest Mercurial Superfly Mbappé Rosa revives the vibrant 2008 classic boot which reminds Mbappé of life lessons he learned from his mother about the importance of hard work and determination.
Back in 2008 when Mbappé was around ten years old, he pleaded with his parents to get him the first edition of the Mercurial Pink Panther worn by another great Frenchman; Franck Ribéry. His parents made him work for the pair, saying that if he worked hard at school for long enough they would get them for him. Sure enough, the young starlet worked his socks off and got the boots from his parents in the end. A pair he still holds dear to his heart.

The colourway is bold and vibrant. Unmistakably Mbappé. The design neatly takes lessons from the speed-focused assets featured on the original boot, while modernizing the design aesthetic with the lightning bolt Swoosh leading to the toe, chrome plate and finishes in the skin of the upper, along with KM and Mercurial logos completing one hell of a boot. As limited release products go, this is right up there.
Fans of Mercurial Vapor will be pleased to note that yes, there will be a Vapor offering coming as well. This initial drop is our first with high availability expected on Wednesday 2/9.
