CR7 CHAPTER 6 - BORN LEADER

As the 2018 FIFA world cup is fast approaching, Nike have officially launched “Chapter 6” in the CR7 series worn and curated by the legend of the game, Cristiano Ronaldo. The latest signature Mercurial Superfly VI for Nike’s leading man was designed with CR7’s story as a forefront. It focusses’ on Ronaldo’s role as captain of his national team, Portugal. As such, the palette of the boot complements Portugal’s traditional colours.
There is a plethora of detailing that makes up the design of the new CR7:
- Displayed on the lateral side of the heel cup is the captains “C”, which is integrated into a raised applique military sphere. This graphic is also featured on the included boot bag.
- The cross pattern underfoot the CR7 is aligned with the pattern on the new Portugal away jersey.
- The black of the boot collar blends to a hyper jade speckle making this the first Mercurial 360 Flyknit to feature more than one colour of knit.
