2. 2022 – Messi’s coronation jersey

With the World Cup Win becoming one of the most memorable moments for Argentina, the jersey entered history and gave Messi his ultimate trophy, rewarding his status of best player on the planet.

In an unforgettable and intense finale against France, La Albiceleste wrote, once again, history and added a third star to its emblem. This year’s jersey kept the classic blue and white bands, with the Adidas three stripes on the sleeves in a navy shade.

3. 1978 – Fist world cup coronation

Another significant jersey in Argentina’s history is the 1978 World Cup Edition, representing the very first time the trophy on home soil.

This long-sleeve shirt had the classical scheme featuring a white V-neck collar, changing from the traditional round neck and giving a retro and distinctive look to the jersey.

4. 1989 – switch to adidas

For its first year with Adidas, Argentina kept its classic and recognisable style, with larger bands and adding Adidas’ branding on the sleeves. 7. 1999 – a step by Reebok

Before joining team Adidas, the Argentinian team partnered Reebok for two years. The English brand created a kit for La Albiceleste to wear during the Copa America. Unfortunately for the team, they got knocked out by its biggest rival, Brazil, in quarterfinals.

The jersey featured the classic white and sky-blue stripes, with a navy-blue details on the sleeves and the collar.

8. 1991 – Another Copa America Trophy

Very similar to the 1986 edition, branded Adidas, the jersey embodies the return of simplicity and history. With narrow bright blue stripes and Adidas stripes on the sleeves, the jersey is very classic, not stopping Argentina winning its 13^th title and bringing another trophy home.
