Nike launch the 2021 Inter Milan Home Jersey 'Made Of Milano'

Wavy! If last season's Inter kit was radical for a traditional club, the 20/21 Inter Milan home jersey is on another level and a brave new look from Nike.
The home jersey aims to capture the best of Milanese culture, values and style through this never before seen interpretation of the club's traditional colours, black and blue.
The inspiration for the jersey also comes from the pioneering work of Milanese designers in the 1980s; Inter’s new home kit celebrates the city through a striking aesthetic that symbolizes the shared identity of the club and the people it represents. When we heard Nike were moving away from template jerseys we were pleased, but we weren’t expecting they would take one of the most iconic club jerseys and zigzag the whole design! We aren’t mad either. We love it.
“We continue our pursuit of challenging the club’s traditional striped identity, this time drawing inspiration from one of Milan’s most important design movements,” says Nike’s Scott Munson, VP, Nike Football Apparel. “The zigzag graphic is a staple of post-modernist design and is also reminiscent of the slithering Biscione. The result is a radically unexpected home kit.”
The design features the classic Inter Milan colours and uses them to re-imagine the jersey with a wavy post-modernistic aesthetic that looks as good as anything we’ve seen for some time.
There is method to what could be seen as madness behind the design. The stripes snake down the jersey as a reference to a club symbol, the Biscione, which is a heraldic charge displaying an azure serpent in the act of consuming a human. Cool, huh?
The jersey is rounded off with a clean black crew neck collar and the Inter crest we know and love sits stunningly on one of the many waves which make up the jersey; which is sure to be one of the best of any of the big clubs this season.
