Meyba Launch The Retro '92 Collection

For a brand who are making a comeback looking to the future, MEYBA, are a brand with some heritage, they were football team-wear supplier to a large slice of La Liga clubs, including supplying no less than FC Barcelona for a whole decade! The list of icons who wore the Catalan brand is a who’s who of football. Let’s start with Cruyff...I’ll raise you a Maradona, throw in a Guardiola, Laudrup or Stoichkov and you get the idea.
Everyone knows FC Barcelona as a behemoth who have been champions of Europe five times, but it’s easy to forget that this domination and glory wasn’t always the case with the Catalan club. It was actually all the way back in 1992 that the club were first crowned champions of Europe and the club were dressed in the iconic M logo kit of MEYBA.
Images of the dream team including Koeman running off in glory to a young Pep Guardiola roaring with delight all feature the cool Orange MEYBA kit, now forever embossed into football history.
With this in mind it is with great pride, MEYBA announce the arrival of the 1992 Collection.
‘We’ve taken inspiration from the Barca class of 92 who were infamous for their success in conquering Europe in the 91/92 season under the great Johan Cruyff. This was a monumental night that we couldn’t avoid. With the 30-year anniversary this year we’ve put ample amounts of detail, care and thought into this collection, along with the obvious retro jersey we wanted to explore our more current roots with streetwear to celebrate the iconic kit” - Neal Heard - Brand director of Meyba and renowned kit guru.
