Way back in 1968 PUMA released their iconic ‘King’ silo for the first time, a boot cherished by a host of all-time greats in Maradona, Pele, Cruyff and Eusebio, to current legends like Buffon and Ibrahimović.

Fast forward to 2019. PUMA have linked up with Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry to help re-engineer the classic design for next generation of footballing royalty.

Sharing his experience on the product development, Henry said “I was able to share my experience as a player with the PUMA Football design team when developing the updated PUMA King. The boot has more than 50 years of history and is renowned for its use of premium materials and style. We applied the same formula in updating this iconic shoe, focusing on craftsmanship and technical performance to meet the needs of the modern footballer.”

The PUMA King Platinum sees many updates to the OG classic. It brings in the latest technology so players at the peak of the game can play with maximum performance.

The stunning triple black premium K-Leather, a non-negotiable for King, has been redeveloped and improved with 3D touch texture for added control. This is a boot for the midfield maestro – so nailing down the touch component of this boot was crucial. You know it’s spot on when David Silva agrees to wear the silo.

There are changes to the tongue, which is now knitted, and the outsole has been updated with lightweight ‘RAPIDSPRINT’ technology that features a stud configuration built for speed.

PUMA have dubbed this is the fastest and lightest PUMA King boot of all time, and with the added stealth triple black colourway and chrome soleplate, how can you not want to jump back in King?
