On the field, goalie jerseys are typically long-sleeved and rely on a high-visibility factor in both pattern and color choice, making them the brightest uniforms on the field. Off the field, sportswear giants like Palace and Gosha Rubchinskiy have put their own spins on the item, turning it into a fall streetwear staple. Nike have joined the wave into the football streetwear universe with their Nike F.C lifestyle silo. Each footwear or apparel item heavily inspired by the on-field gear of the decades.

The new Nike F.C jersey collection has drawn heavy inspiration from the iconic jersey of Mexican goalkeeper Jorge Campos. The iconic kit that the design language was taken from was from 1994 World Cup in the group stage play when Mexico tied against Italy, the eventual World Cup runner ups. The neon colors contrasted with the deep purple and opposing arrow shapes make for a head turning design. Subtly pixelated into the F.C jerseys you can notice the iconic arrow pattern through the centre.
