Sokito Scudetta x ‘Mr Lulu’: Another boot, another story
Football boots are usually judged on speed, weight, or touch. The Sokito Scudetta x ‘Mr Lulu’ asks a different question: what if a boot could tell your story?
Designed by Nigerian international Ola Aina, the ‘Mr Lulu’ Scudetta is more than a limited-edition release. It’s a cultural statement, a creative canvas, and a glimpse into the future of sustainable football footwear - all wrapped into one of the lightest boots in the game.
A Boot Rooted in Identity
Named after Ola Aina’s nickname, ‘Mr Lulu’, this Scudetta colourway is a tribute to Nigerian heritage and personal storytelling. Inspired by iconic Super Eagles kits of the past, the light green base sets the tone, while hand-drawn artwork brings the boot to life.
Every detail is intentional. Freeform motifs: wings, leaves, and the African continent are outlined in gold across the instep. Ola’s own handwriting appears throughout the design, alongside a custom tongue and exclusive ‘Mr Lulu’ branding on the insole and sidewall.
Identity, pride, and history - all in one boot.
Performance & Purpose
While the design grabs attention, the Scudetta remains a serious performance boot.
Weighing just 182 grams, it’s built for elite-level play, whether on the international stage or weekly matchdays. For this release, Sokito introduced a 100% knit tongue, delivering improved comfort and a more adaptive fit - the only technical update from the standard Scudetta.
True to Sokito’s philosophy, the boot is made almost entirely from bio-based and recycled materials, including bamboo, corn waste, castor beans, and recycled plastic. Sustainability isn’t an afterthought here: it’s the foundation.
Peak performance. Reduced environmental impact.
Sokito’s Rise on the Global Stage
Sokito may still be a young brand, but their impact is growing fast. After being introduced at AFCON when Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong debuted the Scudetta, the brand has continued to build momentum across Europe’s top leagues.
In the past year alone, Sokito secured 40 professional players, and recently added England international Millie Bright to their athlete roster. The ‘Mr Lulu’ collaboration represents a new chapter: athlete-led design done properly.
More Than a Boot
The Sokito x ‘Mr Lulu’ Scudetta proves that football boots don’t have to choose between performance, sustainability, and culture. They can carry all three - and still perform at the highest level.
This is football design with meaning.
