adidas Launch The GMR Chip With EA Sports

Football has never been more fun with adidas x EA Sports partnering up to give us the all new adidas GMR chip for an unrivalled on-pitch/off-pitch experience.

This state of the art chip measures many skills and outputs including passing, shot power, distance covered and speed on-pitch. These stats are put into an overall leader board with people all around the world competing to get the best scores but that’s not all, the GMR stats also unlock exclusive in-game rewards to FIFA which can improve a users Team OVR and other cool features. What is adidas GMR? It’s a chip that slots into the adidas insole provided which you then use in your own pair of boots or trainers. They can be placed in any type of footwear you see fit so no specific playing surface is required.

This GMR chip brings the on-pitch physical football world and off-pitch digital gaming world together to create a stunning experience that is the first of its kind – and EXTREMELY fun! 

There are weekly challenges for users to complete each week which keep things fresh (and addictive!) and because the adidas GMR chip is powered by Jacquard Tag’s advanced machine-learning algorithms, the GMR accurately recognises the actual movements users make on-pitch giving you stats you haven’t had access to in the past.

What’s the best part about adidas GMR? The simplicity of all it. Once you unbox the chip and insoles all you need to do is insert the chip into the insole, place them into your own footwear and download the GMR app. Once you do that open the app to get started then get out there and start seeing how your skills stack up, climb leader boards and unlock prizes! 

Speaking of prizes - Ultra Football is running a competition whereby any user who reaches specific levels (5 total) will receive prizes from vouchers to boots!
