adidas Launch Bayern Munich 23/24 Home Jersey
The highly anticipated end of the season is here. The Champions League final spots have been secured, there's teams battling for league tiles, promotion and survival. Additionally, this time of year holds great importance for another reason: jerseys. The arrival of jerseys for the 23/24 campaigns is imminent, and leading the way is Bayern Munich.
Celebrating the Bayern's unique connection to their iconic red and white, the new Bayern Munich 23/24 home jersey is here. Just in time for their must win clash against RB Leipzig. With Dortmund hot on their heels, Bayern will be hoping the new jersey gives them luck for the remaining two games.
The design for this kit is deliberately simplistic. Giving the white time to shine in celebration of colour on the sleeves, a nod to the first home kit worn by the team in the club's first season in Germany's top flight.
“The combination of red and white represents the identity of FC Bayern Munich - and has done so for more than a century. These colors represent pride, unwavering confidence, and great triumphs. With this new kit we are highlighting the importance of these colours to the club and can't wait to see it on the pitch and on the fans as we embark on the next chapter of the red and white success story together." - Lisa Datz, Senior Product Manager at adidas Football.
On the inside of the collar you'll see the words “Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang” – which translates to "red & white for life"; a reference to one the club’s bylaws that home kits must feature red and white. A change that came in a few years ago which means we will no longer ever see blue on the home jersey again.
“The colours red and white have been with me all my life. With this traditional design, the new home shirt stands for the success story of FC Bayern Munich.” - Bayern Munich striker and club legend, Thomas Müller.
For the launch of the jersey FC Bayern München and adidas are partnering with the Superbloom Festival in Munich to showcase the deep connection between the club, its colors, and the city. The collaboration emphasizes that Munich is red and white, extending beyond just football fans. The festival, taking place on September 2 and 3, will elevate this narrative.
