The Best 10 Champions League Jerseys 21/22
With the return of the Champions League this week, we take a look at the best 10 jersey's from all teams competing.
10. Galatasaray S.K. Away (Nike)
Galatasary have used black away and third jerseys more frequently in recent years, and this season’s away may be the best one yet. The jersey has a black base with a yellow and red chest band and a yellow Swoosh on the right chest. The club crest also features a black background for the second time, following the introduction last season.
9. Lazio Third (Macron)
Lazio also enters the list with a black jersey, with their 3rd kit by Macron. The jersey is also a black base but has blue trimming on the sleeves and collar, featuring the club’s iconic eagle in a subtle pattern on the sleeves, inspired by the 18/19 home jersey. The jersey also features the club’s old crest, for the first time since 17/18.
8. Manchester United Third (adidas)
Adidas have leant heavily on the Manchester United history for the club’s kits this year and that hasn’t changed for the new third jersey. The 21/22 third shirt takes inspiration from the 1993/94 away jersey the club wore when they won their first-ever Premier League and FA cup double, with Eric Cantona finishing top scorer for the season.
7. Chelsea Third (Nike)
For the new Chelsea third jersey, Nike has collaborated with Chelsea fans in the fashion industry to create the design. Nike has used London streetwear and their ACG brand for inspiration for the colour of the jersey. Green and black has become synonymous with Nike outerwear and the ‘Pride of London’ logo can also be seen on the jersey.
6. PSG Third (Nike)
The new PSG 3rd jersey by Nike is black and features a grey horizontal graphic across the front, inspired by the iconic hechter stripe. The jersey features the Nike swoosh on the sleeves of the jersey, leaving the PSG club crest front and centre, in the middle chest of the jersey and is inspired by the 99/01 away jerseys.
5. Inter Milan Third (Nike)
Inter Milan’s new 3rd jersey has divided opinion but it gets the tick of approval from us. The jersey is inspired by the away shirt from 89/91 made by UHL sport. The new 3rd puts a colourful twist on the classic though, using orange, yellow blue and green on a black base instead of the traditional blue and black on a white jersey.
4. Dynamo Kyiv Away (New Balance)
The Dynamo Kyiv away jersey by New Balance features a bold graphic pattern, inspired by the 1990s. It's also a tribute to the club's victories over that decade, winning eight Ukrainian titles and five Ukrainian Cups. Dynamo Kyiv used Aussie content creator Aleksandar Jason for their Kit launches, which is why they look so good.
3. Bayern Munich Third (adidas)
Adidas have used a clean white and blue colour palette for the Germain giants third offering this season, with the colours linked to Bavarian culture and also their home stadium - the Allianz Arena.
2. Ajax Third (adidas)
The Ajax third jersey for 21/22 is inspired by Bob Marley’s ‘Three Little Birds’ song which has become the clubs unofficial anthem. The Jersey was made in collaboration with adidas and the Bob Marley family to pay tribute to the Jamaican reggae legend. The jersey is black with green, red and yellow highlights, featuring three little birds on the back of the neck.
1. Barcelona Third (Nike)
The new Barcelona third Jersey will be worn as a home shirt in the club’s champions league campaign hence the home colours. Nike have teamed up with local young artists to reimagine the classic Barcelona blaugrana stripes. The background graphics & patterns in the jersey represent five Barcelona neighbourhoods: Poble-sec, Poble Nou, Gràcia, Raval and Les Corts.
