Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos is a player loved by all fans of football, and its easy to understand why. The young German is the closest to a perfect footballer with the combined flawless technique developed over many years, as well as elegance on the ball, Kroos is just a purely entertaining player to watch. Or does all this magic from his feet come from his trusty Adipure boots he has worn repetitively since 2013?

Toni Kroos was born on the 4th of January 1990 to a small East German family, with football bleeding through the family blood from a young age. As a kid he wasn't the most outstanding and bright kid in the classroom, however the football pitch was where he shined. Spending a large amount of his childhood running around at football training and kicking around with his brother Felix. It was here that he developed into one of the best attacking midfields of our generation.

However, before this, Kroos wasn't the best player on the pitch as a kid but far from the worst. He was never seen as a gifted player but instead but instead sought success through hours of hard efforts on the pitch in his spare time.

This display of hard work and dedication from the young German became very evident when he became a member of the Bayern Munich's first team at ripe age of 17. Before this signing Kroos played for a local club at Greifswalder Soccer Club, then later transferring to the youth team of Hansa Rostock. The move to Bayern Munich youth squad happened in 2006 and this consumed the young starts childhood. Everything revolved around football. At one point in 2006, Kroos was missing up to 40 days during the school year due to the intense amount of training each week.

After a couple of years at Bayern Munich's first team, Toni was loaned to German team Bayern Leverkusen in the 2009/10 season, in which he played 33 matches and slotted 9 goals along with 12 assists. This domination and consistency at Bayern Leverkusen promoted him back to the Bayern Munich the next year.

Upon his return Kruse built himself an extensive resume of success. He has won 3 Bundesliga titles, a Champions League with Bayern Munich as well as the coveted 2014 FIFA World Cup. This success saw Real Madrid poach the German in 2014  for a six year deal, where in which he is playing today and helped Real seal their thirteenth Champions League Title earlier this year.

Kroos is known for his dead eye passing accuracy, technique, vision and ability to piece together goals. He has been described by many as the archetype of the modern attacking midfielders.

Kroos is an outlier when it comes to the boots of choice as a sponsored Adidas athlete. The usual case is that all players are given the latest in technology and style to showcase on the pitch, however this isn't the case for Kroos. He definitely wears the oldest boots of the Real Madrid Squad if not the league. Kroos is famous for his beloved Adidas Adipure 11pro boots even though adidas ceased production of the boot in 2014. He has been lacing them up ever since he left Bayern Munich in 2014. The two boots of choice are years old, broken in, scuffed up and refuses to play in anything else. As they say if it ain't broken why fix it? That is the exact mentality Kroos has held when it comes to his choice of boot. It has been speculated that he actually bought the last remaining few hundred pairs of the boot directly from Adidas to make sure he would never be without his prided and joy for the remainder of his career in the case that they were never produced again.

The 2018 World Cup in Russia saw Kroos lock in a late 95th minute strike get Germany a win over Sweeden. Was it the boots or was it his ridiculous amount of skill from outside the box? We think its a good amount of both.

Toni Kroos has been one of the biggest assets for Real Madrid in recent times and has signed onto the club for another two years until 2022, an important penetrating player with superior versatility and strength as well as ability to efficiently playmaker and create chances for all team mates.
